Guardian allows liquids, oils and stains to be repelled in an unbelievable fashion.
Guardian is a unique formula - it has zero volatile solvents, no dangerous propellants, no smells and is water based. Unlike the traditional aerosol variants, Guardian is non flammable and is packed in recyclable plastic bottles which are totally safe to store and transport.
Guardian can be used on Canvas, Nubuck, Suede, Leather and most fabric shoes. Different materials will display slightly varying effects. Guardian does not effect the breathability, look, feel or performance of your shoes.
Shoes should be thoroughly cleaned prior to application. Dirt and soils on shoes will prevent adherence of the coating and can drastically effect performance. If you are using any cleaners/ detergents to prepare shoes you must allow at least 12 hours of drying time before applying Guardian - as detergent residue can remain in the fabric/ on the surface.
Guardian is super easy to apply:
1. Evenly spray Guardian over entire shoe, making sure to achieve thorough coverage. The first coat should make shoes damp to touch (fabrics). Leather/ Vinyl shoes will only require a lighter coat. Allow first coat to dry for 20 - 30 minutes.
2. Evenly spray second coat, again light and thorough coverage is the goal (This just ensures no areas were missed on the first application.
3. Allow shoes to cure and dry overnight (approximately 12 hours - 24 hours will produce even better results).
4. Your shoes are now protected!
On regularly/ daily used shoes - Guardian will provide approximately 4 weeks of protection. Coating can last up to 1 year on rarely worn shoes. One 250ml bottle Guardian will protect up to 25 shoes.
